Due to a personnel tragedy in the athletics department at Eastern Illinois University yesterday, the men's soccer match between Missouri State and EIU, scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been cancelled along with all other athletic events on the Charleston, Ill., campus.

The game will officially be recorded as a "no contest," and it will not be rescheduled. 

With a 1-0 win over Evansville on Wednesday, Missouri State (12-3-2) clinched the Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship. The Bears, who have now concluded their regular season, will enter the MVC Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, November 13-15, as the No. 1 seed after finishing 7-1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
