Paradise Receives MVC and Top Drawer Soccer Accolades

Missouri State junior forward Paul Paradise was named Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office today.  He was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer.com Men's Team of the Week.

Paradise out-battled Bradley defenders twice for goals in Saturday's win over the Braves.  In the fifth minute of play, Paradise made a sliding tackle and kick on the ball in the box to give Missouri State a 1-0 lead.  He would make a similar play in the 20th minute after battling through a defender to get to a loose ball in the box and give the Bears a 3-0 lead.  Paradise's first goal was the game-winner for Missouri State, his second game-winning tally of the season.  On the season, Paradise leads the team with five goals and 31 shots taken.

Paradise and the Bears return to action on Sunday at Plaster Field with a 1:00 p.m. tilt against conference foe Drake.  Sunday's match will be Senior Day for the men's soccer team.
