The Missouri State women’s soccer team will host 18th- ranked Kansas Friday night, September 5, at Plaster Field. The Jayhawks come to Missouri State for the first time since 2003 boasting a 4-0 record on the season.
The Bears, who are now 3-2-1 on the season, had won three straight contests before dropping a match to Army and battling Saint Louis University to a scoreless tie in the Toys for Tots Tournament in St. Louis, Mo., last weekend. Missouri State has been strong defensively as senior goalkeeper Jackie Jasper has posted four shutouts and recorded 28 saves for a .933 save percentage this season. Offensively the Bears are led by junior midfielder Samantha Aguilar who has netted two goals this season.
Head Coach Rob Brewer is in his 13th year at Missouri State and has produced a 115-105-26 overall record with the Bears.
