The Mid-American Conference released the 2008 All-MAC teams Thursday at the conference banquet after the first round of the tournament.
The Bears had juniors Melissa Lantz and Amanda Miyashita named to the second team All-MAC.
Missouri State finished the season at 6-15, 1-9 in the MAC, after falling to Ohio, 7-0, in the first round of the tournament.
Lantz finished the season with 17 goals to lead the Bears, to total 23 career goals. She is tied for 15th on the Missouri State career scoring list.
Miyashita led the defense this season, switching from the forward position last season. She made numerous defensive stops to break up opponents’ fast breaks.
Kent State’s head coach, Kathleen Schanne, was named MAC Coach of the Year, while Debbie Bell, also from Kent State, was named Freshman of the Year.
Samantha Sandham, from Central Michigan, was named MAC Player of the Year.
