Missouri State Men's Soccer to Host Ninth-Ranked Tulsa

The Missouri State men's soccer team will host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Thursday at Plaster Field, beginning at 7 p.m. in their final regular season game of 2008.  The Bears (6-8-4) enter the game with solid momentum after an overtime conference victory against Eastern Illinois last weekend.

MSU downed the EIU Panthers on November 1 in their Missouri Valley Conference finale with an overtime goal by Nick Dryden off of a corner kick with 3:45 remaining.

The Bears have been playing very well of late with four shutouts in their last five games.  MSU finished conference play with a 3-1-1 record and are guaranteed at least a No. 3 seed in the league tournament next week in Evansville, Ind. MSU has a chance to finish as high as first in the league, pending the results of this week's remaining conference games.

Tulsa enters the match with a No. 9 national ranking and a 12-3-2 record, averaging 2.0 goals a game. Tulsa is led by Austin Neil with eight goals on the season, while goalkeeper Tyrel Lacey who has six shutouts and has only allowed 11 goals.
