The Missouri State men's swimming and diving squad received seven votes in the most recent CSCAA Division I Poll. The poll ranks the top dual meet teams in the nation and will be published seven more times during the 2008-09 season. Texas received 238 points overall and seven of eight total first-place votes to earn the top ranking among all Division I men's swimming and diving programs.
This year’s poll will be published eight times and the champion will be crowned on February 26, 2009. Pollsters representing eight conferences along with two at-large voters have the task of ranking the top dual meet teams in the nation throughout the season.
The men opened the season with an impressive victory, finishing ahead of 19th ranked Southern Methodist at the University of North Texas Relays in Dallas, Texas. The Bears travel to Evansville, Ind. on Friday October 24, to compete against Evansville and Illinois State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
