The Missouri State women’s soccer team opens Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend with a 1 p.m. Sunday match against 3rd place preseason pick Evansville at Plaster Field in Springfield, Mo.
Missouri State enters the weekend with a 7-3-1 record and a four game winning streak. The Bears have recorded a solid 19 goals this season and have given up only eight. Bears’ goalkeeper Jackie Jasper boasts 0.74 goals against average and a 0.855 save percentage, leading the conference in both categories.
The Bears will look to extend their winning streak and earn their first MVC win when they face the Evansville Purple Aces. The Purple Aces have had a good start on the season and they enter the match with a 6-2-2 overall record and a 1-0 record in the Missouri Valley.
