Missouri State’s Jordan Reppell was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week today in the league’s first set of weekly awards.
A freshman from St. Louis, Mo., Reppell stepped in as a defensive starter for Missouri State and responded with two great performances over the weekend. Reppell’s defensive efforts helped the Bears record two shutout victories, allowing the opponents only a combined total of 11 shots, seven on goal, in her first collegiate start. Offensively, she recorded one shot on goal against in-state competitor Southeast Missouri State.
Reppell and the rest of the Bears will travel to the University of Nebraska to challenge the Cornhuskers on Friday, Sept. 7.
