The 2007 Missouri State volleyball recruiting class is complete and now includes six players with the addition of 5-5 defensive specialist Terri Del Conte from the junior college ranks.
Del Conte is originally from Whittier, Calif., and spent last season at Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif., accumulating 263 kills, 324 digs and 45 aces on the way to an 11-3 conference finish. Her freshman year in college, Del Conte played for Long Beach City College and set a school record with 45 digs in a four-game match. She graduated from Lakewood (Calif.) High School in 2004 after earning first-team all-league honors and will be a junior this season at Missouri State.
"It is exciting to get a player in our program with the knowledge and experience that Terri has. She will add some great depth in our junior class and give us another veteran in the program," head coach Melissa Stokes said of the team’s latest addition. "Coming from Southern California and competing against some of the best players on the beach, Terri will have an opportunity to contribute immediately with her ball control and her ability to make amazing defensive plays."
Other members of the class are Julia Cawthra, Joanna Granzow, Eboni Gray, Cara Hackmann and Maci Wood.
