Struckhoff and White named to MVC Volleyball All-Centennial Team

Former Missouri State volleyball players Mindy Struckhoff and Linette White were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball All-Centennial Team, announced by the conference on Thursday.

A native of Washington, Mo., Struckhoff played at Missouri State from 1985-88 and was a three-time all-conference selection and the 1988 Valley Player of the Year. She owns two of the nine kill-block-dig triple-doubles in MSU volleyball history, and ranks ninth all-time with 1,239 kills. Struckhoff also appears on the Missouri State career charts in third place with 635 total blocks and 18th with 953 digs.

White was a 2003 MVC Co-Player of the Year and was the school’s first AVCA All-American, earning third-team honors in 2003. The Oklahoma City native played at MSU from 2000-03 and was a three-time all-MVC selection. She has the career record for hitting percentage (.352), as well as the two best single-season totals in school history, setting the record at .392 in 2003. She is 11th in Missouri State history in career kills (1,137), 10th in solo blocks (72), fifth in block assists (421) and fifth in total blocks with 493.

Twelve different programs (including affiliate members) have sponsored volleyball in the Missouri Valley Conference since 1982. From 1982-92, MVC member schools competed in the Gateway Collegiate Athletic Conference for women’s athletics.
