A freshman on the Missouri State women's swimming and diving team, Chelsea Ray has been named this week's Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Ray was the one-meter diving champion in Saturday's dual against Truman State. She won the event with 203.93 points. She placed second in the meet on the three-meter board with 211.13 points. In Friday's dual with Southern Illinois, Ray placed fourth on the one-meter board with 128.63 points.

The Bears' swimming and diving teams will be back in action for the Fourth Annual Dale Williams Alumni/Squad Meet at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Hammons Student Center.
