Despite outshooting the Golden Eagles 17-13, the Missouri State women's soccer team fell to Oral Roberts, 1-0, in non-conference action, Wednesday, in Tulsa, Okla. The loss drops the Bears to 9-6-1, while the Golden Eagles improve to 3-7-3.

 Oral Roberts dominated the first half taking eight shots to the Bears five. Golden Eagles' Gentry Detter scored the lone goal of the match in the 32nd minute off a free kick.

The Bears came out strong in the second half and controlled the game, taking 12 shots to ORU's five, but failed to find the back of the net.

In goal for the Bears, Jackie Jasper recorded six saves. Mandy Evans posted eight saves and her first shutout of the season for the Golden Eagles.

Missouri State will play its final regular season home match on Sunday, October 15, against Creighton at Cooper Sports Complex in Springfield, Mo. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
