Chloe Rear handed out 101 assists in two road wins, setting the Bears to a .263 hitting percentage with averages of 12.62 assists, 1.5 kills on .478 hitting, 1.62 digs and 0.50 blocks per set. Saturday at Southern Illinois, Rear dished out a career-high 55 assists, the most for an MSU freshman since 2000. She also hit .714 with five kills, five digs and two blocks against the Salukis. In Monday’s win at Valpo, Rear threatened a triple-double with seven kills, 46 assists and eight digs, adding two blocks with a .375 attack percentage.
