Aubrey Cheffey earned MVP honors at the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational after averaging 3.00 kills and 1.11 blocks per set with a .397 hitting percentage. Cheffey posted career highs of 18 kills and six blocks in Saturday’s championship match, hitting .444 in the Bears’ 3-1 win against Ball State. The junior hit .429 versus Grambling and .267 against Oral Roberts, totaling nine kills and four blocks in the two sweeps.
