Jordan Knutson, collecting not only Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, was selected by Collegiate Baseball as one of its national players of the week Monday, after the Bears left-hander dominated Dallas Baptist to win his fifth game of the season in Friday night's 5-1, series-opening victory. The Lee's Summit, Mo., product limited a high-powered Patriots lineup to two hits over eight innings while striking out a career-high 13 hitters. Knutson held DBU hitless over the first 5 1/3 innings and yielded the lone Patriot run of the night on a solo homer in the sixth. The senior responded by retiring nine of the final 10 batters he faced.
