This week's Murney Student-Athlete of the Week is Missouri State baseball's Garrett Ferguson. Ferguson pitched in all four Missouri State games last week and factored in the decision in all three of the Bears’ victories in the weekend sweep of Bradley with two saves and a win. Ferguson threw two hitless innings with two strikeouts Tuesday at Kansas, and tossed the final 1.2 frames Friday versus Bradley to log his first career save, yielding a run on three hits for his only blemishes of the week. Saturday, Ferguson needed just one pitch to record the final out and save against BU, then got the final two outs of Sunday’s contest before earning the victory as the Bears rallied to win in the bottom of the ninth.
