Abi Jackson paced the Lady Bears last week by averaging a team high 19.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg on 50% percent shooting from the field as Missouri State picked up two road wins. On Thursday night at Evansville, Jackson once again set a career high after dropping 25 points on 10-for-15 shooting. The fifth-year senior also went a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line and grabbed seven rebounds against the Purple Aces. Jackson’s 10 field goals on the night were more than the entire Purple Aces squad (9-for-47), as she helped lead MSU to its largest margin of victory in MVC play since Feb. 21, 2004. On Saturday afternoon at Indiana State, Jackson recorded a 14-point, 10-rebound performance to collect her fifth double-double of the season, four of which have come in MVC play. Jackson came in clutch down the stretch for Missouri State, as she drove in for a layup and converted two free throws in the final minute of a two-point game against the Sycamores. Jackson is averaging a team-leading 14.9 ppg and 8.3 rpg in conference play for the Lady Bears.
