Johnson began the week with a double-double against Evansville on Monday, hitting .444 with 14 kills, 10 digs and three aces. Friday, the junior had 25 kills and 12 digs at Illinois State, adding two blocks and an ace against the Redbirds. She became the fourth player in school history to reach 1,500 career kills in Saturday’s match at Indiana State, hitting .268 against the Sycamores with 15 kills, nine digs, three aces and three blocks.
