Senior Liz Young earned her first, second and third goals of the season in the Missouri State field hockey team’s 6-0 victory over the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds and 5-1 loss against the Pacific Tigers. Young, who only recorded one goal last season, recorded her first two of the season in Missouri State’s first victory of the season against LIU Brooklyn when she scored back-to-back goals for the Bears. Young scored her first goal of the 2016 season off a corner play from the top of the circle. Three minutes later, she scored again off a corner from five yards out. Against Pacific, Young scored Missouri State’s lone goal against the Tigers in the 55^th minute off a corner from the middle. Young now ties one other Bear with a team-leading three goals and eight points on the season.
