Background: Transferred to Missouri State after two seasons at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin…In her sophomore campaign, Stokes started all 36 games for the Lions as she averaged 17.3 points, 5.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game…Also shot 41 percent from the field, 27 percent from three and 75 percent from the free throw line in 2022-23…As a freshman, Stokes started all 31 games for MSSU and burst onto the scene, becoming one of the best players in NCAA Division II as she set 18 freshman program records…Averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game on her way to being the first freshman in MSSU history to earn first-team All-MIAA, All-Region and All-American honors…Her other accolades include being named MIAA Freshman and Player of the Year in 2021-22, earning all-region and honorable mention All-American twice, and being named to the All-MIAA first team, All-MIAA all-defensive team and the MIAA all-tournament team in each of her first two seasons…Named the MIAA Player of the Week seven times and was a two-time member of the MIAA academic honor roll…Hails from Mount Vernon, Mo. where she was a four-year starter for the Mountaineers…For her high school career, she scored 2,132 points and averaged 17.5 points per game while helping lead her team to a state runner-up finish during her senior season…Was also a four-year starter in volleyball, in which she earned all-state honors.
