Ashley Houts

Ashley Houts joined the MSU staff as director of operations on June 26, 2017. Among her duties as director of operations, Houts oversees Missouri State's film exchange and equipment operations, coordinates team travel arrangements and operates Lady Bear basketball camps.
 
"We are very excited and fortunate to have Ashley Houts joining our staff," MSU head coach Kellie Harper said. "Her playing experience and knowledge of the game will be valuable assets to our staff. Ashley's work ethic and outgoing personality will provide positive examples for our players."
 
Houts was a four-year standout at Georgia, starting 130 career games and playing in four NCAA Tournaments during her time in Athens. She finished her Bulldogs playing career with 1,514 points, 565 assists, 319 steals and 398 rebounds, earning first-team all-SEC honors and All-America nods from two publications as a senior, second-team all-conference accolades as a junior and sophomore, and SEC Freshman of the Year laurels in 2007.
 
A native of Trenton, Ga., Houts represented the United States internationally at the 2007 U21 World Championships and 2009 World University Games, and was drafted 16th overall by the New York Liberty in the 2010 WNBA Draft. Houts played the 2010 season with the Washington Mystics of the WNBA, and spent each winter through the 2016-17 season playing professionally overseas in Israel, France and Spain.
 
Houts graduated from Georgia in 2010 with a degree in recreational and leisure studies.
