Missouri State Announces 2026 Cross Country Schedule

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State head coach Jordan Fife announced the Bears' 2026 women's cross country schedule Monday. The six-meet slate spans five states and features a season-opening home race under the lights at Betty and Bobby Allison Sports Town.

The season begins Friday, Sept. 11, with the Queen City After Dark at Betty and Bobby Allison Sports Town in Springfield. The five-kilometer race will feature Missouri State, Drury and Evangel and will serve as the Bears' lone home competition of the season.

A trip to Columbia, Mo., follows on Friday, Sept. 25, for the Gans Creek Classic. The six-kilometer race will be held at the University of Missouri's Gans Creek Cross Country Course.

Competition continues Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. Hosted by the University of Arkansas at Agri Park, the five-kilometer race will be the final regular-season competition at that distance.

The regular season concludes Friday, Oct. 16, at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill. The six-kilometer race at Newman Golf Course will provide one final tune-up before postseason competition.

Postseason action begins Friday, Oct. 30, with the Conference USA Championship at John Hunt Cross Country Park in Huntsville, Ala. Missouri State placed third in its CUSA debut in 2025, recording the program's best conference finish since 2010.

The season's final scheduled competition is the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 13. Iowa State will host the six-kilometer race at the ISU Cross Country Course in Ames, Iowa.
