Meet the Bears: Mo State Adds Indiana Transfer Acimovic
June 19, 2026 | Men's Basketball
SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State men's basketball head coach Cuonzo Martin announced today the addition of University of Indiana transfer Andrej Acimovic (on-DRAY AH-chee-much) to the Bears lineup for the upcoming 2026-27 season.Â
The 6-foot-10 redshirt freshman is originally from Bosnia and brings high-level potential to the Bears front court. He is the ninth in a series of upcoming player announcements for Martin's squad.
"Andrej is a physical, skilled Big," said Martin. "He has a really good feel, makes sound decisions with the basketball, and has the ability to pass and shoot at a high level. His versatility and willingness to make plays for himself and his teammates makes him a valued asset to our team."
In 2025-26, Acimovic did not appear in game action for coach Darian DeVries for an 18-14 Hoosiers club.
Prior to his time in Bloomington, he averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the U19 ABA League, the top league in the Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia region. During competition in the second Bosnian division, a senior level league, he posted 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting  65.3 percent from the floor and 39.0 percent from the 3-point line.Â
He was also a member of the U16 and U18 Bosnia and Herzegovina National Teams.
