SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State beach volleyball returns to tournament action this weekend, traveling to Clarksville, Tenn., for the Austin Peay Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11.

The Bears open the weekend Friday against Southwest Baptist before taking on Tennessee Tech later in the day. Missouri State returns to the sand Saturday to face host Austin Peay and closes the tournament against Eastern Illinois.

Bears on the Beach
Missouri State heads to Clarksville for its final regular-season tournament before closing out the home slate later this month. The Bears carry momentum into the weekend after sweeping Southwest Baptist, 5-0, on Senior Day at Betty & Bobby Allison Beach Volleyball Courts. MacKenzie Steele and Amanda Cleary, Raylee Stenzel and Rylie Cepicky, Maddie Schrandt and Manuela Niemeyer, Taylor Germann and Morgan Bos, and Logan Kaneshiro and Jaycee Fixsen all contributed wins in the dual.
 
Scouting the Sand
Missouri State opens the tournament against Southwest Baptist. The Bears lead the all-time series 8-0.
 
Later Friday, Missouri State faces Tennessee Tech. The Bears hold a 1-0 edge in the all-time series, with the lone meeting resulting in a 4-1 win on April 12, 2025.
 
Saturday begins against host Austin Peay. Missouri State leads the all-time series 2-0, including a 5-0 victory on April 11, 2025.
 
The weekend wraps up against Eastern Illinois. The Bears are 2-0 all-time against EIU and earned a 5-0 win earlier this season in the most recent meeting.
 
Under Ashley Emery
Ashley Emery is in her fourth season leading the program and continues to guide Missouri State through one of the strongest stretches in school history. Missouri State enters the weekend 17-3 this season under Emery and opened the year with a program-best 14-0 start.
 
Bears in Conference USA
Missouri State continues Conference USA play this spring with the conference championship set for April 24-26 at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana.
