Men's Golf Suspended Due to Darkness at Tiger Intercollegiate

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Play was suspended due to darkness Monday (Apr. 6) late in the second round of the Tiger Intercollegiate men's golf tournament at the Club at Old Hawthorne. Missouri State and the rest of the 19-team field had all completed at least 33 of the 36 holes scheduled for the day, with the Bears in 17th place as the day ended.
MoState was in 10th place following the first round after posting a three-over-par 291 team score, but slipped in the second round and was 14-over as team as play was suspended.
Seniors Christian Rischer and Tim Holmberg shot 68 and 70, respectively, in the opening round to lead the way for the Bears. Sophomore Jonathan Jordan carded an even-par 72, freshman Noah Naugle had 73 and sophomore Andrew Fallis 77.
Play is scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday with the completion of the second round immediately followed by the third round with teams keeping the same pairings.
