STUNT Drops Two at Nationals to Conclude Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Missouri State STUNT (17-16) lost to Cal Baptist in the quarterfinals and Cal Poly in the consolation bracket on Saturday at the 2026 College STUNT National Championship, hosted by Lipscomb University, to end the season for the Bears.

In just the program's second year, the Bears finished with a winning record qualified for Nationals after securing a No. 4 national ranking and finishing second in the Mid America West Conference Tournament.

Game One
Cal Baptist 18, Missouri State 3
The Lancers raced out of the blocks in the first half, securing an 8-0 lead with dominant performances in the partner stunts and the pyramids and tosses earning four points in each quarter. In the third quarter of jumps and tumbling, the Lancers pushed forward with their lead earning five points to the Bears' one. The Lancers continued with the momentum and finished off the fourth quarter of the team routines with five points earned to the Bears' two.

Game Two
Cal Poly 25 , Missouri State 14
The Mustangs set a steady pace six points won in the partner stunts, to the Bears' four. The second quarter of pyramids and tosses was an exact replica score wise of the first quarter, helping the Mustangs hold onto the lead. In the third quarter of jumps and tumbling, the Mustangs pulled away on the scoreboard, earning five points to Missouri State's one. In the fourth quarter in the team routines, the Mustangs completed the game with eight points earned to the Bears' five.
