STUNT Bears Win Four Games at Home to Start 2026

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State STUNT (4-0) opened the 2026 season in stunning form winning all four games hosted this weekend at Hammons Student Center, against Missouri Valley College, Central Arkansas and Drury. MoState entered its second ever season with poise and precision, ensuring wins with comfortable margins against all three schools. The Bears also honored the eight graduating seniors, Reece Wyman, Autumn Speckhart, Maddy Olive, Riley Ray, Destiny Matysik, Grace Burish, Tylee Parrish, and Emma Evans with senior day celebrations following the completion of competition on Saturday afternoon.

"I am extremely proud of how these athletes came out and represented the university and our program this weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the season than being undefeated at home. We are looking forward to continuing to improve our levels and working on new ones. I love this group of athletes, and I'm blessed to be their coach," stated head coach Kennedy Wingbermuehle.

Game One

Missouri State 24, Missouri Valley 5

The Bears performed brilliantly in their very first home STUNT game on Friday afternoon. Missouri State executed the partner stunts flawlessly, earning four points and not letting up a single point to Missouri Valley in the first quarter. In the pyramids and tosses, the Bears earned five points to Missouri Valley's three. In the third quarter, the Bears dominated the jumps and tumbling, earning three more points and not letting up any. The fourth quarter was once again all about the Bears in the team routines, showcasing precise teamwork and athleticism, winning them 12 points to Missouri Valley's two.

Game Two

Missouri State 29, Central Arkansas 16

Missouri State opened Friday's second game with four points awarded in the partner stunts portion, to the Sugar Bears' one. But the second quarter kept things interesting in the pyramids and tosses, with the Bears earning four points to Central Arkansas' three. The Bears continued their lead into the third quarter, winning three points and letting up none in the jumps and tumbling section. The final quarter brought things a little closer throughout the team routines, with 15 points awarded to the Bears and nine points awarded to the Sugar Bears. But Missouri State ended the day with two victories over two wonderful performances for the opening day of STUNT in Hammons Student Center.

Game Three

Missouri State 26, Drury 17

The Bears continued to dominate at home, starting Saturday's competition off with another win against hometown rivals Drury. The first quarter in partner stunts was neck-and-neck with the Bears gaining three points to the Panthers three. In the second quarter with pyramids and tosses, the Bears pulled ahead with four more points being earned to the Panthers' two. The Bears continued with the positive momentum in the third quarter with jumps and tumbling earning six points to Drury's four. Missouri State once again shined in the team routines in the fourth quarter, gaining 13 points while the Panthers earned nine.

Game Four

Missouri State 30, Central Arkansas 17

The Bears saved the best for last in their rematch with Central Arkansas. The first half was very evenly contested, with the Bears and the Sugar Bears earning four points each in the partner stunts. In the pyramids and tosses portion, the Bears earned five points to the Sugar Bears' four, placing the Bears only one point ahead of Central Arkansas heading into the second half of the game. The Bears dominated the jumps and tumbling earning four points and giving none up to the Sugar Bears. Missouri State finished off the home slate brilliantly in the team routines in the fourth quarter, winning 17 points points while the Panthers earned nine.

Missouri State STUNT returns to action on Friday, Feb. 13 for two days of competition against Arizona State, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene, and Oklahoma State in Shawnee, Okla.
