Beach Volleyball Earns First AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the first time in team history, the Missouri State beach volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, the AVCA announced on Wednesday.
The Bears earned a 3.589 GPA for both the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters to reach the 3.30 GPA threshold to be recognized for the award. The 2024 beach volleyball roster made up of 17 MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll students. Senior Brooke Plessner was the first Bear to make a Conference USA All-Academic first team.Â
Missouri State is coming off a record-breaking 26-7 season in its first year competing in CUSA.Â
