SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State head beach volleyball coach
Ashley Emery announced six commits for the 2026 season on Monday. Five of the recruits will join the team as freshmen in the fall, while one signee will transfer from the NJCAA level.

Ana Paula Fallas • Defender • 5-9 • Heredia, Costa Rica • Sistema Educativo Whitman • Palm Beach State
A transfer from Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Fla., Fallas won back-to-back NJCAA championships with the Lady Panthers in 2023 and 2024 under head coach Drew Colvin. Fallas was named the 2024 Florida College System Activities Association/Region 8 Player of the Year. She and teammate Zuzanna Michalska were named 2024 FCSAAA Pair of the Year and Pair of the National Championship Tournament. Fallas is a two-time AVCA Top Flight award winner and an FCSAA Pair of the Week winner five times.

Taylor Germann • Blocker • 6-0 • Ashland Mo. • Southern Boone High
Originally from Ocean Springs, Miss., Germann makes her way south to Springfield from Ashland where she was a standout indoor volleyball player for the Southern Boone Eagles. She was a varsity letterman, a Tri-County Class 3 All-Conference Team Honorable Mention and made the All-District Second Team as a freshman. As a sophomore, she led the conference in hitting percentage and made the All-Conference Team. Germann had a breakout junior year when she led the state in hitting percentage (.499), good for 13th in the nation. She made the Class 3 All-State team and was the Tri-County Conference Player of the Year on the way to a district championship. She was once again named Conference Player of the Year in her senior season. She led the district in hitting percentage (.480) which was third in the state. She surpassed 1,000 career kills in her high school career. She played her club volleyball with Alpha Omega Beach Volleyball Academy and 417 Columbia.

"Taylor is one of those athletes you know you have to bring into your program. She's not only a talented player but also a wonderful young lady with strong character. Her height and presence will be a tremendous asset to our blocking game."
Reagan Gilbert • Blocker • 5-10 • Hoover, Ala. • Spain Park High
Gilbert was an outside hitter for the Spain Park High Jaguars that won the 7A state championship with a 47-4 record. As a sophomore, Gilbert was named an AVCA Phenom and earned 163 kills, 38 aces and 249 digs to help Spain Park to an area championship. She continued to impress her junior year, racking in 316 kills, 92 aces and 264 digs on her way to an AHSVA All-State selection and the All-Metro second team. That season, the Jaguars won another area championship and were the north regional runner-up. She was an AHSVA All-State selection in her senior year. Gilbert amassed a career total of 628 kills, 143 assists and 547 digs. She also played with Birmingham Beach Volleyball Club.

Shea Skouby • Blocker • 5-10 • Fair Grove, Mo. • Fair Grove High
Born in Springfield, Skouby was a middle hitter for the Class 2 Fair Grove Eagles indoor volleyball team that went a combined 107-3 in her three years on the varsity team. As a sophomore, Skouby played 59 sets and earned 67 kills en route to a 30-2 season where Fair Grove conference and district championship and made the state quarterfinals. Skouby had a major breakout season as a junior, notching up 303 kills with a 45.5% kills percentage. She also had a career-high 106 total blocks during the 2023 campaign. She earned All-State honors and made the All-State tournament team. Fair Grove finished 36-1 to win the conference, district and state championships. The fruits of Fair Grove's labor came to fruition in Skouby's senior year. The Eagles went a perfect 41-0, winning the most matches in Missouri high school volleyball history in a single season. Skouby earned a career-high 391 kills and 47 aces to become a unanimous All-Conference and All-District player.

"Shea is an exceptional multisport athlete from our area and that showed as a two-time state champion in indoor volleyball. Her commitment to honing her all-around skills will be invaluable on the sand. She's a powerful net presence and a great teammate. We are excited she decided to stay close to home."
Raylee Stenzel • Split • 5-9 • Mountain Grove, Mo. • Mountain Grove High
Stenzel was a four-year varsity indoor volleyball player at Mountain Grove High School just east of Springfield up US Route 60. Over her three-time all-state career, she earned 2,337 kills, 256 aces and 1,217 digs. Stenzel has 939 kills in her senior season, averaging 10 kills per set. She made the All-District and All-First Team her freshman season as the team finished runner-up in district play. Mountain Grove won the district and conference championship her sophomore year when she won Conference Player of the Year. The Panthers won the district and sectional titles in her junior year. Stenzel once again won Conference Player of the Year and led the team to district and conference championships.

With her competitive drive and all-around skill set, she's sure to bring an infectious energy and determination to our team."
Izzy Turner • Defender • 5-9 • Justin, Texas • Northwest High
Turner makes her way to Missouri State out of Northwest High School in the Fort Worth, Texas area. The defender was a two-year starter and played for Madsand Volleyball Club where she was Team MVP her sophomore season.
