Missouri State men's golf coach
Neal Stafford has announced the commitment of local standout Noah Naugle to join the Bears for the 2025-26 academic year.
Naugle is the fourth-ranked senior in Missouri, according to
Junior Golf Scoreboard, and racked up an impressive summer in 2024. He was medalist at the Missouri Amateur qualifer at Twin Oaks in June and advanced to the round of 16 at the Amateur at St. Joseph Country Club before falling to one of the eventual finalists. In the junior ranks, he captured the MGA's Kansas City Classic and placed fourth at the Junior Amateur in addition to posting a pair of top-30 finishes in
American Junior Golf Association events. He also earned all-state honors as a junior and has been a three-time all-district performer for the Nixa High Eagles.
Stafford said Naugle is just the sort of player he was looking for in his 2025 recruiting class.
"I'm excited to welcome Noah to the Bears' family," he said. "His passion for the game, combined with his competitive drive, will enhance our team dynamics and strengthen our move to Conference USA beginning next fall."
The Bears are coming off a fourth-place finish at their final fall tournament, The Buddy in Murray, Ky., and will begin their spring campaign Feb. 16-18 at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz.
