Missouri State's Hampus Wijkstrom has captured his second consecutive Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honor after another stellar outing at the Derek Dolenc Invitational earlier this week. The senior from Saltsjobaden, Sweden set the MSU tournament scoring record Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 25-26) at Gateway Golf Links in Madison, Ill., firing 66-70-65--201 to finish second in the tournament.

That came just a week after establishing a new school mark in winning the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, Tenn., where he posted 202 for the three rounds. Wijkstrom is 28 under par over the last two tournaments and averaging 69.0 strokes per round in the season's first three tournaments in his first year as a Bear after transferring from Augusta.

After opening the season with three consecutive competitions, the Bears are off this week before returning to action Oct. 9-10 atthe Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in Wichita, Kan.
