SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State Athletics announced today (Feb. 21) it has joined forces with Opendorse to create the Missouri State Bears Marketplace, an online resource that will maximize NIL support for nearly 400 student-athletes on the Springfield campus.
 
Missouri State is among an elite number of programs nationwide to provide a single marketplace platform to send supporters to access student-athletes and offer NIL opportunities. The marketplace gives Bears fans, brands and sponsors the ability to browse, book, pitch and pay any MSU student-athletes for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the athletes' needs.
 
Current and former Missouri State student-athletes may opt into the Missouri State Bears Marketplace with their own personalized Opendorse profile and menu.
 
"We are very excited to provide this unique and cutting-edge opportunity to our student-athletes," said Missouri State Director of Athletics Kyle Moats. "This is a convenient, safe and compliant way for our student-athletes to engage with our fans, community and followers while opening new compensation opportunities for them. We strongly encourage our supporters to be active in this space and support this endeavor."
 
When offered a NIL deal, student-athletes receive a notification through the Opendorse app, which they can choose to accept. Once completed, the student-athlete immediately receives compensation to their account and can automatically disclose their activity to Athletics.
