ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2023-24 women's basketball conference schedules Tuesday morning (Oct. 10) with each team set to play a 20-game league schedule.
For the second consecutive season, following the league's expansion to 12 teams beginning with the 2022-23 season, Valley teams will play 10 home and 10 road games while facing two select teams just once during the regular season.
Missouri State's one-off games for the 2023-24 season include a home matchup versus Northern Iowa (Dec. 30) and a road contest at Drake (Feb. 22).
The Lady Bears will kick off conference action at home versus UNI on Dec. 30 before the calendar flips to 2024.
MSU will play eight games in January, featuring an even mix of four home and four road games. The Lady Bears will welcome Valparaiso (Jan. 4), UIC (Jan. 6), Evansville (Jan. 19) and Indiana State (Jan. 21) to Great Southern Bank Arena in the first full month of conference play. In return, Missouri State will travel to Bradley (Jan. 11) and Illinois State (Jan. 14 or 15), before closing out the month at Belmont (Jan. 26) and Murray State (Jan. 28).
February features four more home games for the Lady Bears, including visits from Belmont (Feb. 9), Murray State (Feb. 11), Southern Illinois (Feb. 25) and Bradley (Feb. 29). The month includes four road contests for Missouri State with a trip to Southern Illinois (Feb. 3) and a three-game road swing at Indiana State (Feb. 15), Evansville (Feb. 17) and Drake (Feb. 22).
Missouri State will cap its home schedule with a visit from Illinois State (March 2) before concluding the regular season on the road at UIC (March 7) and Valparaiso (March 9).
The 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament is slated for March 14-17 at Vibrant Arena at the Mark in Moline, Ill.
