FORT WORTH, Texas – The Missouri State beach volleyball team (12-12) fell to No. 2 TCU (5-0) and No. 16 Pepperdine (5-0) here at the TCU Beach Volleyball Courts on Friday.

In the opening dual, the Horned Frogs (32-2) jumped out to an early advantage with wins at the No. 4 and 5 spots as Hayley Boll and Caroline White defeated Becca Bach and Grayson Hall (21-8, 21-8) in the No. 4 flight while Megan Muret and Rochelle Scott dispatched Parker McAllen and Olivia Rattler (21-11, 21-11) in the No. 5 spot.

Grace Cook and Chloe Tome gave Hailey Hamlet and Hailey Brocket all they could handle in the No. 2 match. Cook and Tome fell in the first set 22-20 before dropping the second set 21-14.

In the No. 3 position, Maria Gonzalez and Ana Vergara swept Addison Crider and Kaeli Kristensen (21-8, 21-15). TCU also took the No. 1 flight, courtesy of Tania Moreno and Luana Araco, defeating Tylar Garrett and Mya Young (21-9, 21-5).

In the nightcap against Pepperdine, Hall and Bach fell to Cameron Blakenko and Kate Clermont (21-15, 21-10) in the No. 4 flight. The Waves took the No. 5 match courtesy of Rio Frohoff and Savana Greene sweeping McAllen and Rattler (21-12, 21-15).

In the No. 1 position, Garrett and Young were defeated by Melanie Paul and Madison Shields (21-5, 21-10). Cook and Tome fell to Simone Priebe and McKenna Thomas (21-14, 21-14) in the second flight.

Pepperdine (19-8) completed the sweep in the No. 3 spot as Peyton Lewis and Juju Quintero topped Crider and Kristensen (21-14, 21-12).

The Bears close out their regular-season slate tomorrow with duals against Stanford (9:30 a.m.) and Houston Baptist (1:30 p.m.).
