Lee to Miss Remainder of 2022-23 Basketball Season

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State men's basketball head coach Dana Ford announced Saturday that senior point guard Matthew Lee will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in the second half of Wednesday's game at Brigham Young.Â

A transfer from Saint Peter's University, Lee has started both games of the young season and led the Bears in assists in both contests (4.0 per game) while also averaging 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 19.0 minutes per game.

A fourth-year senior, Lee would have his additional Covid (fifth) year of eligibility remaining for next season.
Missouri State (1-1) resumes play on Saturday afternoon at Great Southern Bank Arena with a visit from Middle Tennessee at 2 p.m.
