ST. LOUIS -- Missouri State running back Tobias Little (Atlanta, Ga.) was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his role in the Bears' 41-20 win at Illinois State on Saturday.

Little rushed for three touchdowns in the victory, including two go-ahead scores, and carried 14 times for a career-high 90 yards to lead the Bears to their first win in Normal since 2012.

In addition to averaging 6.4 yards per carry, Little personally accounted for 35 of the team's 40 yards as part of a key five-play touchdown drive (following Von Young's blocked punt) in the third quarter that put the Bears up for good.

For the second straight week, the No. 16-ranked Missouri State squad did not allow any second-half points in Saturday's win.

Joining Little on this week's MVFC honor roll were: UNI's Spencer Cuvelier (defense), NDSU's Jake Reinholz (special teams) and South Dakota's Nate Thomas (newcomer). The MVFC will announce its Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday.

Little is the sixth Missouri State player to be honored by the conference this season and the team's second Offensive Player of the Week, joining Xavier Lane (Sept. 12).

The Bears are back in action this week at Youngstown State (1 p.m.) before returning to Plaster Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 16 for a homecoming clash against Indiana State.
