SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri State Lady Bears will receive their 2019 Sweet 16 rings during a halftime ceremony at Saturday's MSU football game, scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff at Plaster Stadium.
All 13 members of last year's NCAA Tournament roster will be in attendance to celebrate a magical run that included the program's fourth Sweet 16 appearance, 15th NCAA trip, and 11th Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship.
The 2018-19 Lady Bears overcame a 1-7 start by winning 24 of their next 26 games before falling to second-seeded and sixth-ranked Stanford in the NCAA Chicago Region semifinal.
Missouri State captured the MVC tournament crown with a 94-79 victory over 21st-ranked Drake in the championship game and earned a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament in Ames, Iowa.
The Lady Bears began NCAA play by defeating two more top-25 teams in sixth-seeded DePaul and No. 3 seed and 13th-ranked Iowa State to earn a spot in the Sweet 16 in Chicago.
MSU finished the season with a 25-10 overall record and 16-2 mark in MVC play.
