MSU Beach Volleyball Schedule Set for Year Two

SPRINGFIELD -- Four home matches, including the inaugural MSU Beach Invitational, highlight a 24-match schedule for Missouri State's second season of beach volleyball.
The Bears play host to Missouri Baptist, Ottawa and Park in their first ever home tournament, a six-match round-robin format slated for March 22-23 at the Betty & Bobby Allison Sand Volleyball Courts on the MSU campus. Missouri State also hosts Park on March 27 to complete a set of four home matches.Â
The 2019 season begins March 1 and 2 with four matches in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Horned Frogs Challenge hosted by TCU, and the Bears will once again spend spring break in southern California, with nine matches against nine different schools scheduled over the five day trip.
Missouri State closes the season with two April tournaments, playing at the ULM Warhawk Challenge (April 5-6) in Monroe, La., and the Palmetto Invitational (April 12-13) hosted by South Carolina.
In total, MSU will play seven matches against six teams that finished the 2018 season ranked in the top 20 of the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll.Â
Missouri State went 7-10 in 2018, and returns six players from the regular lineup, including four who won at least eight matches.
