ITA Academic Awards
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Missouri State's women's tennis team was recognized Tuesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for its academic performance during the 2017-18 academic year.
The Bears earned the ITA All-Academic Team award for the third consecutive season, owning a 3.48 team cumulative grade point average for the year, easily surpassing the 3.20 GPA threshold needed to qualify. Missouri State has been an ITA All-Academic Team in each of its four seasons since resuming varsity competition at MSU for the 2014-15 season.
Additionally, five Bears owned GPAs of 3.50 or higher to achieve ITA Scholar-Athlete status, including
Phoebe Boeschen,
Ellie Burger,
Alye Darter,
Fati Khamissi and
Alexia Meyer. Each of those players return to MSU next season.
