SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State fans can get a glimpse of the 2018-19 Bears and Lady Bears basketball teams on Homecoming morning when the teams host an open practice beginning at 10 a.m. on Oct. 20 at Hammons Student Center.
The free event is open to the public and will feature the Bears and Lady Bears conducting intrasquad scrimmages, preseason drills, and interacting with fans. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
Due to street closures associated with the Band of Bears Homecoming Parade, fans are encouraged to enter campus from the west to access Hammons Student Center for the basketball preview.
The Lady Bears open the exhibition season on Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. against defending Division II national champion Central Missouri in their first of two preseason contests at JQH Arena.
The Bears will take on Evangel at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in their only preseason scrimmage contest.
