EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The Missouri State tennis team wrapped up weekend play Saturday with a 7-0 loss at unbeaten SIU Edwardsville.
"This was a tough weekend of matches," said head coach
Mallory Weber. "The overall score doesn't reflect how tight and well we competed. We can take a lot of positives away from this weekend and continue to improve."
The Bears (4-8) and Cougars (9-0) were tied 4-4 in the unfinished doubles match when SIUE clinched the point, and six of the 13 singles sets were decided by either a tie-break or service break.
Missouri State is idle until a March 15 match at Memphis.
