MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Missouri State's tennis team opened its two-match trip through Tennessee Wednesday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to Memphis at The Racquet Club of Memphis.
The Tigers (7-4) controlled the doubles point with two wins and a lead in the unfinished match, and won in straight sets at the first five singles positions before taking the No. 6 match in a tie-break.
Anelisse Torrico Moreno had the best showing for the Bears (4-9), taking six games from her opponent in the No. 3 singles match.
The Bears return to action Thursday at 3 p.m. at Lipscomb.
