SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State's tennis team dropped a tightly-contested match to Creighton Friday afternoon at Cooper Tennis Complex, falling 5-2 to the Bluejays in a match that included a trio of three-set defeats in singles play.
After CU (3-4) won the double point, the Bears (4-5) came out on top of the first two singles matches to conclude, starting with freshman
Alye Darter's fourth consecutive win at the top of the lineup, 6-4, 6-0 over Creighton's Ashley Ishimura.
MSU's
Fati Khamissi added a straight-set win at No. 2 singles for a 2-1 match lead, but the Bluejays rallied to win at each of the bottom four spots, including three-set victories at Nos. 3, 5 and 6.
The Bears close their four-match home stand Sunday at 10 a.m. against unbeaten Central Arkansas.
