After 18 years at St. Louis Union Station, Missouri State men's basketball fans will enjoy a new venue for their fabled fan Hangout for the MVC Tournament this year.
Missouri State's official fan gathering spot is moving to the St. Louis City Center Hotel (400 S. 14th Street, St. Louis), located just across the street from Scottrade Center. The new venue, which is even closer to the arena, will now feature a full-stocked cash bar, big-screen televisions to follow the tournament, food orders from the hotel restaurant and all the amenities fans are accustomed to.
The space just off the hotel lobby is the former Jacque's Sports Bar. All MSU fans are invited to stop in during extended hours for complimentary snacks, soft drinks, beads and buttons with a wide selection of BearWear from the MSU Bookstore for sale, sign making activities for the kids and pregame pep rallies with the BearMania Band, cheerleaders and Sugar Bears two hours before each Bears game of Arch Madness.
For Thursday's first-round game against Drake, the pep rally will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. With an opening-round win, the Bears would play Evansville on Friday at 6 p.m. with a pregame pep rally at the Hangout starting at 4 p.m.
This year's MVC Tournament runs March 3-6 with tickets available at TicketMaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
