Final Results
 
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. – Led by junior Verena Gimmy, the Missouri State women's golf team finished in seventh place here Tuesday after the final round of the Little Rock Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club.
 
Gimmy fired a one-under par 71 on the final 18 holes Tuesday to finish in a tie for fourth place. Her final tally of 74-74-71—219 was just one stroke behind the tri-champions – June Ting of UTEP, Brenda Gonzalez of Central Arkansas and Cynthia Diaz of UMKC. Gimmy's score was the second-best in the 86-player field on the final day.
 
Caroline Boone (81-76-72—229) also notched a top-25 finish for the Bears, as the senior improved with each round of the 54-hole event to tie for 23^rd.
 
As a team, the Bears carded rounds of 304-298-307—909 to finish 18 strokes behind team champion Central Arkansas (891). UTEP (897), North Texas (898), UMKC (901), Sam Houston (901) and Houston Baptist (907) finished ahead of Missouri State in the 16-team standings. Fellow MVC foes Wichita State (929) and Northern Iowa (957) finished 13^th and 16^th, respectively.
 
The seventh-place team finish marked the second-best showing of the fall season for the Bears whose best performance came with a fourth-place effort at the MSU Payne Stewart Memorial, Sept. 12-13.
