SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State men's basketball coach Paul Lusk announced today that recent walk-on Ben Denbow will be added to the Bears' active roster and be in uniform for Saturday's game at Wichita State.

Denbow is a 6-foot-5, 209-pound junior from Licking, Mo. He attended Licking High School and played for coach Ben Glasgow from 2009-2012. He went on to play two seasons at State Fair Community College in Sedalia for coach Kevin Thomas the last two years before continuing his education at MSU this past fall.

"We're obviously fighting some depth issues right now, and Ben has shown a good understanding of the game in his short time with us," said Lusk. "He comes from a basketball family, and is a young man who can help us in practice and provide another active player on game days."

Denbow scored more than 2,000 points at Licking High School, averaging 26 points and 11 rebounds his senior season. He was a four-time All-Frisco League selection and two-time all-state honoree. He went on to play in 51 games in two seasons at State Fair where he averaged 7.6 points his freshman season and 3.3 points last year. He also hit 47 3-pointers during the 2012-13 season for the Roadrunners.

MSU's game at No. 16 Wichita State will tip at 7 p.m., Saturday and will air live on ESPN2.
