Capital One Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Missouri State senior Cassie Le was named to her third-consecutive Capital One Academic All-District VI first team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday (Oct. 29). Le becomes the first Bear to earn the first-team honor in three consecutive seasons and joins former Bear Kate Blair as the only three-time academic all-district selections.

This season, the White Bear Lake, Minn., native has been named MVC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, picking up the accolade on Sept. 15. She notched her first career goal, the game-winner, at Little Rock. Le has assisted on three goals as well this season.

Le has twice been named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team in her career. In each of her first three seasons, Le has been the recipient of the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award. She holds a cumulative 3.95 grade point average as a biology major at MSU.

To qualify for the Capital One Academic All-District team, a nominee must hold a cumulative 3.30 grade point average, must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

Le and the Bears conclude the regular season this evening with a 6:00 p.m. contest at Evansville to determine the two-seed in next week's MVC Tournament.
