Bears Women's Tennis Ready for Fall Competition

The Missouri State women's tennis team will play in its first competition under the guidance of first-year head coach Mallory Weber at the Drury Fall Invitational beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

The two-day tournament features individuals from Drury University, Washington University (MO), Northwest Missouri State University, Southwest Baptist University and Missouri State.

Eight student-athletes make up the 2014-15 MSU squad, with four Bears tennis players coming into this season with prior collegiate playing experience.

The Drury Fall Tournament is the first of four events for the Bears this fall. MSU will also compete at the MVC Individual Conference Tournament on Oct. 3-5 in Des Moines, Iowa, the ITA Regional Championships in Stillwater, Okla., on Oct. 16-20, and the Arkansas State Fall Invite from Nov. 7-9.
