SPRINGFIELD - Basketball is just around the corner on the Missouri State University campus. On Wednesday, both the Men's Basketball and Lady Bear's Basketball teams were available to media in the annual Basketball Media Day held on the court at JQH Arena.
The event began with a joint press conference featuring men's coach Paul Lusk and Lady Bear's coach Kellie Harper. The press conference is available on Bears All-Access at the link above.
Players were made available to members of the media following the press conference. Additional footage will be added to Bears All-Access throughout the preseason.
Fans can watch both teams in action on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the preseason scrimmage held at McDonald Arena, as a part of the homecoming festivities. The Bears and Lady Bears will each conduct a 30-minute intrasquad scrimmage and fan-friendly event, starting at 10 a.m., in the historic facility that served as the basketball home for the University's teams from 1940-1976. The $5 adult admission to the scrimmage will benefit the Missouri State University College of Arts and Letters' Master Class Series. Missouri State students with a valid BearPass card and all children 12 and under will be admitted free.
Season tickets for both of MSU's basketball teams are available now by calling (417) 836-4143 or visiting MissouriStateBears.com/tickets.
