MVC Release | Bears Schedule | Lady Bears Schedule
ST. LOUIS -- Missouri State will be featured on the ESPN family of channels at least 10 times in the upcoming basketball season, the network and Missouri Valley Conference announced late Tuesday (Oct. 14).
The Bears will make at least eight appearances on ESPN programming this year, while the Lady Bears will appear twice.
On the men's side, the squad's game at Wichita State on Feb. 7 will be televised on ESPN2, while the Bears will play four games on ESPN's new "NetFlex" option on Sunday afternoons. The Bears' four NetFlex games will be vs. Illinois State (Jan. 11), at UNI (Jan. 18), vs. UNI (Feb. 15) and at Drake (Feb. 22) on either ESPNU or ESPN3, as determined by ESPN approximately 8-10 days prior to the game. The start time of the ESPN Net Flex games will also be finalized at the time of the channel designation.
Paul Lusk's squad will also play three games that have been tagged as ESPN3 exclusive games -- Jan. 7 at Indiana State, Jan. 28 at Illinois State and Feb. 18 vs. Indiana State -- on the MVC television package. MSU will also play an ESPN 3 exclusive non-conference road game at Tulsa on Dec. 17 as part of the American Athletic Conference package, while the MVC Wildcard Weekend game selections (Feb. 28) will be announced in early February.
The Lady Bears will have two ESPN3 exclusive games at JQH Arena, including the Jan. 9 game against Wichita State and the Jan. 23 game against Southern Illinois.
The league is expected to finalize its MVC Television Network schedule involving telecasts on FOX Sports and Comcast in the coming days. Likewise, the Missouri State Television Network schedule is expected to be finalized later this month.
